One Week in Berlin (3)

During my one week stay in Berlin, I spent a lot of time walking. I walked so much that I bruised my toes, but there were one day that I spent in the house by accident...

Apparently no one told me that you could be locked in at the house if you don't have the key. So that is what happened. I got all dressed up in the morning, casually had my breakfast, all excited to explore around the city, and the very last minute, "Huh? What's wrong with the door?" It wasn't the door, of course. Nothing was wrong, it's just that it was locked.

It doesn't matter that you ARE in the house, you just can't open it from inside. That explains why you often see a key sticking at the door in Europe, and why you can peak from the key holes (they are HUGE).

So I looked out at the windows, debating rather should I jump off the window and risk my life. I decided to just watch TV and spend my day at the house.

Da da!! Guess what I saw! A guy wearing a dress with a wig cooking! I thought, "Oh gosh I'm not ready for this! Don't get too surprised...I'm in Europe now..."

How lovely. Look at that perfect eye make-up. I can't even do it, what a shame of me being a girl.

Never the less, the second weekend of my summer academy in Mannheim, I was jammed in traffic because there was a parade going on. What was the parade about? The rainbow parade.
