One Week in Berlin (2)

What I did in Berlin was joining a free walking tour for a day. Of course nothing comes free, I did have to pay tips to the guide, but it was well worth the money for all the great information during the tour.

The Brandenburg Gate:

Berlin bear is everywhere :)

Checkpoint Charlie:

The Berliner Dom:

The tour pretty much included all the highlights of Berlin, but to see the wall itself with the paintings, I had to take the S-Bahn for the East Side Gallery, which was a very nice walk. The artworks are amazing and the messages are really sad...but they are the history.

For the rest of the week, I went to some palaces and a concentration camp. They are recommended if you can stay in Berlin for a couple more days.

Sanssouci is a 30 min drive away from city of Berlin.
Sanssouci Park - Schloss Sanssouci Gruft:

Schlossgarten Charlottenburg is the largest existing palace in Germany. It is in the heart of the city, easily accessible with S41 & S42.

Sachsenhausen Memorial is one of the concentration camps just outside of Berlin.
